AM Royal's slogan "Shop Smart" is just what President
Mike Luongo did when choosing his software system. AM
Royal, an internet based appliance retailer needed a software
system that would cater to their online store as well
as handle all of their inventory needs. Not only do they
sell household appliances, but AM Royal also has an online
parts department for many major name brands such as Kenmore
and Whirlpool.
At the company's inception in 2004, AM Royal selected
Universal Accounting Software's Distribution Enterprise
System. Ever since then, they have used UAS software to
download sales orders from the web and track their inventory
items. With extensive reports and easy to use inquiries
on both inventory items and customer purchases, AM Royal
has been able to keep their inventory under control and
accurately track their expenses and profits.
This approach has put them on the fast track for company
growth. Luongo explains: "We were able to get our inventory
under control as well as watching profits. Being a young
company, we need to keep an eye on overhead and sales
and UAS makes this easy."
Luongo, who has a background in software, had three very
specific priorities when conducting his software search.
"Having experienced many software conversions and implementations
with other companies, I knew exactly what to look for:
Ease of use, excellent reporting, and fast lookup of inventory
and customer purchase history".
Luongo identified one other key factor to their success.
He admits that training and the software's ease of use
has helped them avoid making mistakes early on. "The training
helped us avoid the mistakes of trial and error. We were
able to start the right way."
So with such extensive software experience, how does he

"There is not much of a comparison," Luongo says of his
system. "UAS is the easiest software that I have ever
used. It is so user friendly, the competition just doesn't
compare."
